Here we cover the overview of ecology on many scales. Ecology is the study of organisms and their relationship with each other and their environment. Ecology is connected to the framework of evolutionary processes, which influence and are influenced by ecological processes. Thus we connect these processes as we explore the different fields in and scales of ecology. Emphases on the history of ideas and on quantitative models as demonstrations of the principles of ecology will be provided.
