Check Your Vitamin D Levels at Home — Fast, Easy, and Reliable Testing
Understand Your Vitamin D Status to Support Strong Bones, Immunity, and Overall Wellness
Vitamin D plays a vital role in calcium absorption and bone health. It also supports immune defense, reduces inflammation, and contributes to heart health. Despite these benefits, vitamin D deficiency affects millions—especially those living in northern climates, spending limited time outdoors, or using sunscreen regularly.
Unlike most vitamins, vitamin D acts more like a hormone. When your skin is exposed to sunlight, it produces vitamin D, which is stored in the liver and converted by the kidneys into its active form—ready for use throughout the body. Our test measures this active circulating form, giving you a clear picture of your true vitamin D status.
Vitamin D deficiency can lead to fatigue, muscle weakness, bone pain, depression, or even impaired immunity. Over time, it increases the risk of osteoporosis, fractures, and, in children, rickets. Testing your vitamin D levels helps ensure you’re maintaining optimal health before symptoms appear.
People living north of the 33rd parallel, new mothers, children, seniors, and those with higher body fat are particularly at risk. In winter months, the sun’s UVB rays are too weak in many regions to produce vitamin D naturally.

It is very important that you take D3 with K2.
Taking vitamin D3 will increase the absorption of calcium which is generally a good thing. However, the extra calcium needs to be stored in the bone or it may end up causing more health problems. Vitamin K2 helps the calcium into the bone where it belongs until the body needs more calcium. Many studies looking at benefits of vitamin D3 supplementation use doses that are too low to show benefit, and they rarely use D3 + K2, thus they may show that D3 supplementation is associated with worse health outcomes. Adults can safely take 5000 IU D3+K2 daily on an ongoing basis. To see if this is enough, you may want to recheck your D3 levels after 3-6 months of supplementation.
