Dr. Paul Thomas received his MD from Dartmouth Medical School in 1985. He is board-certified in pediatrics, addiction medicine and integrative and holistic medicine.

Dr. Paul is a husband, a father to nine children, a doctor to over 15,000 and a visionary.

Dr. Paul grew up a missionary kid in Zimbabwe (former Rhodesia) where he lived a life that in reality represented “it takes a village.” He literally lived in a tiny village for a few formative years were there was no running water and no electricity. This is where he learned to speak Shona and even dreamed in Shona for a time. He attended high school on a mountain in Swaziland and medical school at Dartmouth in New Hampshire. He learned Spanish so he could better communicate with his patients.

​He has taught residents and medical students since 1988 and opened his own practice, Integrative Pediatrics, in 2008 where he currently serves over 15,000 patients in Portland, Oregon. He also opened Fair Start, his medical detox clinic in 2009, where he has helped about 1,000 patients wean off a wide range of opiates. 

​He is a Founding Director of PHOI (Pediatric Health Outcomes Initiative), Physicians for Informed Consent (PIC) and serves as Co-Chair for Oregonians for Medical Freedom (OFMF). In all he does – he stands for truth and freedom. 

​His book, The Vaccine-Friendly Plan, was published in 2016 by Ballantine Books, and his latest book, by HarperOne, The Addiction Spectrum – A Compassionate, Holistic Approach to Recovery, was published in 2018.
